Nova Scotia - Getting to Brier Island

We took the 'Cat' ferry from Bar Harbor, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. From there, we headed along the Acadian Coast to Digby, then on to Brier Island, where we were staying. The first picture in this row is the enormous wake that the ferry creates. The middle two are in Digby, where we stopped for lunch. The last was a little cove we found on the drive.

Brier Island

We checked in at the lodge, and almost immediately headed out for Seal Cove. Here is our first view of the grounds at the Brier Island Lodge. Note the guard at the head of the trail to Seal Cove. She sometime answers to the name of 'Ruby'
After seeing what there was to see on the path back to the lodge that runs by Western Light, we went into town to watch the sunset, and had a beautiful moonrise at the same time.
Lots of shoreline to explore and rock to climb on. The last three shots in this section were taken on a whale watch, which was fun, but not good for picture taking because we got fogged in.
Another trip to Seal Cove. We decided to watch the sunset from there and head back through the woods in the twilight.
